My Dryer Ball Confession: Sometimes You Get Lucky

If confession is good for the soul, it is time for me to admit to something that I still can’t believe that I did.  After all, my actions are reasonable… most days.  Folks, it is time for a true confession. What lead me down this path of confession is Pinterest.  Yes, I am a fan.   […]

Confession of an Exhausted Tree Hunter

I have a confession to make.  I love fresh Christmas trees.  However, I hate searching for a fresh tree when it is bitterly cold or the snow is deep.  December tree cutting in the mountains of Colorado, the likelihood is quite high for both conditions. Now as a young child, our Christmas trees came from […]

Welcome to Urban Overalls

I’m Connie. Growing up on a farm in rural Iowa taught me me many lessons: raising chickens, growing produce, enjoying raw milk, how to cook from scratch using whole foods, canning, mending clothes, and the importance of being someone who gives back to the community.

Now, living in an urban setting, I brought my country ways with me. Join us as Mr. Overalls and I share our adventures, recipes, and how-to in our daily lives on our 1/3 acre slice of heaven near the center of town.
